Description
Both W and WT casing are designed to Standard DCDMA W sizes, which allow nesting of casing. They are both made from parallel wall C80 tubing compatible with Q™ wireline in-hole tools. W casing is intended for single use or situations where the casing is left in the hole. The W thread is a straight thread with 4 threads per inch. This casing is universal in design and can be used in any drilling application. WT casing is engineered to surpass expectations for a casing and features quicker make-up and easier break-out characteristics than the standard W casing. The WT tapered HD thread (2.5 threads per inch) provides increased strength and works well under difficult drilling conditions and allows for repeated use.
W THREAD TUBING
Standard DCDMA W sizes allow ‘nesting’ of non-Boart Longyear W casing.
THREAD DESIGN
Double-butt joint gives strength in driving and jarring.
WT THREAD TUBING
Standard DCDMA W sizes allow nesting of non-Boart Longyear W casing.
THREAD DESIGN
Double-butt tapered joint and heavy duty buttress thread provide greater torsion and pullback strength to allow retrieval from difficult ground conditions and repeated use. The tapered joint and coarse thread (2.5 threads per inch) reduces stress resulting in easier and faster make and break for reduced wear and reduced labor costs. Threads are easier to clean due to wider spacing for situations where casing is reused. Compatible with HD rod threads.
